Disclaimer:

I’m an indie developer building small tools like this one on my own, with limited resources and a lot of love for what I do. Because I’m not currently part of Apple’s paid Developer Program (which costs $99/year), macOS might show a warning when you try to open this app — something like:

“Apple cannot check it for malicious software.”

This doesn’t mean the app is unsafe — it just hasn’t gone through Apple’s notarization process, which is only available to paid developer accounts. For a tiny app like this, the yearly fee would wipe out what little profit it makes.

To open this app you will have to:

  1. Open System Settings.
  2. Click Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click the Open Anyway button to confirm your intent to open or install the app.

  3. The warning prompt reappears and, if you're absolutely sure that you want to open the app anyway, you can click Open.

If the previous approach didn't work you can try the following:

macOS has a security feature called Gatekeeper. It’s designed to protect your Mac by blocking apps that weren’t downloaded from the App Store or an identified developer.

✅ How to safely bypass Gatekeeper and run the app

If you trust the app and want to run it anyway, you can remove the quarantine flag yourself. This tells macOS: “I trust this app, stop blocking it.”

Just run this command in Terminal:

sudo xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Path/To/App.app

You can find more info about this at the official Apple support page: If you want to open an app that hasn’t been notarized or is from an unidentified developer

The first $100 of profit will be dedicated to solving this issue.
